The Synergy of Competence and Work Motivation in Driving Employee Performance at Bank Riau Kepri Syariah

Abstract

This study aims to examine the magnitude of the effect of the synergy between competence and work motivation in driving employee performance at Bank Riau Kepri Syariah. The study consists of two independent variables, namely competence and work motivation, and one dependent variable, namely employee performance. The analytical method used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS version 4.1.1.6. Data were collected through a questionnaire completed by respondents, namely 58 employees of Bank Riau Kepri Syariah. The partial results obtained are as follows: 1) there is a positive and significant effect of competence in driving employee performance at Bank Riau Kepri Syariah; 2) there is a positive and significant effect of work motivation in driving employee performance at Bank Riau Kepri Syariah. Meanwhile, the simultaneous results show that 3) competence and work motivation together have a positive and significant effect in driving employee performance at Bank Riau Kepri Syariah.
